The Energy Transition is Coming

There is a saying, "You don't know what you don't know."  I think this applies to solar, wind, batteries and other forms of renewable energy.  Helping people and corporations understand how these technologies work, where they work best, and the value proposition they provide is something public officials like me need to be thinking more about.  That is why I am very excited about the American Resilience Project documentary Current Revolution. 

The award-winning film shot in several states including Georgia educates the viewer in understanding how the utility, auto, tech and defense industries can help modernize the power grid to make it more secure and responsive to the needs of its users in an environmentally-friendly way.  While some states have changed the business model for utilities to modernize the grid, other states like mine have brought the utility to the table and advanced renewables in creative ways under the existing structure.

Regardless of how it is done, the energy transition is coming.  Current Revolution is a great tool for non-profits, activist groups, college classes and even politicians like me to use to tell the story...and start discussion.
