Anna Marandi

Anna is a strategic climate and community resilience expert who embarked on this chapter of her life after an earlier career Anna is a strategic climate and community resilience expert. Before her career in climate and resilience, Anna worked in film and television on productions such as Orange is the New Black, Madam Secretary, and on live sporting events as well as documentary-style programming for HBO. Since then, she has supported organizations and practitioners at all scales of government (local, regional, state, and federal) through her work at the Institute for Sustainable Communities, the National League of Cities, and the Pew Charitable Trusts.

Anna has a rich and unique background in film, media, foreign languages, and fitness, and graduated with a Masters of Science in Environmental Policy from The New School for Public Engagement. She also holds a BA in Comparative Literature from Boston University. Anna has lived in Canada, France, and Colombia, and speaks fluent French, Spanish, and some Farsi.
